2011 Chevrolet Optra Magnum in aimed to boost Chevrolet sales in the Middle East, but we have difficulty spotting an Chevrolet Optra Magnum in the streets even though the car has been in the market for some time now. On paper at least, this car seems to have what it takes to go head-on with the opposition.
Positioned in the lower compact segment, Chevrolet Optra Optra offers the best value for money, sold in 4-door sedan, 5-door hatchback 5-door and trim the train station. Arranged by the Italians but almost suggests that, styling can best be described as exciting without ambitious. The cabin is basic, but there is plenty of storage space and room for five adults.
Engine options include 1.6-liter or 1.8-liter four-cylinder units. This combined with a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission for front wheel drive transmission juice. While both machines have enough grunt for the segment, they fall short of the top leaders like the Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla models. Ride and handling is quite good, and bodes well for the Optra. All we ask is a better machine.
