Recently, the Touring variants of the new 2014 BMW M5 Touring have been an on-off affair for the Bavarian carmaker that has only offered two such models in the vehicle’s 28 year-long history.
As you may recall, the first new BWM M5 Touring has come to the world along with the 2nd-generation model or the E34 in the year of 1992 and the last was along with the 4th generation or the E60 in the year of 2007. Meanwhile, BMW had also built a prototype for the 3rd gen M5 or the E39 that BMW has kept a secret until BMW published this car to the public in the year of 2009.
For your information only, BMW recently does not have any plan to build a Touring variant of its most recent F10 M5, but if it will be done, we’ll easily guess that the car will have its look like the car that you’ll see at the gallery below, which has been specially built by the Brazilian artists at the Auto Projeções.
Under its hood, you’ll easily recognize the same 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine as with the most recent M5 sedan and also the new M6 models along with a maximum output of the powerful 560-horses sent to the rear wheels via a 7-speed dual clutch transmission.
Meanwhile, there is a little chance for BMW to build an M5 Touring, so that the fans of the super-fast estates have the other options in this segment, comprising Audi’s RS6 Avant and also Mercedes-Benz’s newly updated E63 AMG Wagon and also the great CLS 63 Shooting Brake.
